About Us

Welcome from the Foundation President

April Thornton
Mrs. April Thornton
President

Welcome to the Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation web site! We are so glad that you want to learn more about our Foundation and hope that the information provided here will inspire you to join us.

The Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation is charged with the mission of enhancing the health and wellness of the community through a permanent endowment. Interest income from the endowment, along with funds raised from Special Events, is used to make grants which will engage volunteers and non-profit organizations to motivate our community to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Through the support of generous individuals, the endowment will grow and become a significant source of income for community health and wellness efforts. All who contribute to the endowment understand the importance of planning for the future health and wellness needs of our community.

The Foundation awarded its first grants in 1997 and, since that time, over $580,000 has been given to our community. For 2012, we are proud to announce that the Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation has awarded six health and wellness grants totaling $62,539. This is the 15th year the Foundation has provided funding for health and wellness programs throughout Randolph County.

Again, thank you for taking time to learn more about the Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation and the many ways in which you can support our initiatives.

Sincerely,
April Thornton
President of the Randolph Hospital Community Health Foundation
