Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Being able to breathe comfortably is something many people take for granted. For those affected by chronic lung disease, such as asthma, emphysema, bronchitis and pulmonary fibrosis, shortness of breath may make the smallest task difficult to accomplish. This condition, and the anxiety that often accompanies it, can interfere with daily routines and reduce the enjoyment of life. That’s where the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Randolph Hospital can help. The program offers services that help patients achieve a maximum level of pulmonary function and attain a better quality of life.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a highly individualized program developed for those challenged by chronic lung disease. If you have this condition and want to improve your quality of life, you can benefit from our program.
Treatment is coordinated by a respiratory therapist and registered nurse under the guidance of your personal physician and our medical director. An exercise physiologist then develops a customized exercise program designed to help you regain stamina, improve endurance and the capacity to exert yourself.
Ask your doctor to refer you to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Randolph Hospital. Your doctor will work with you to initiate enrollment. For more information, please call (336) 633-7752.
