Breast Outreach & Navigation Program

Meet Sherry Tate, Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator

The Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator at Randolph Cancer Center is Sherry Tate, RN. She actively seeks out women who are affected by breast cancer and then guides them through the healthcare system. The Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator makes sure patients get needed resources and support by effectively helping patients anticipate and avoid obstacles to breast cancer care.

All patients with suspicious findings should receive timely resolutions by having the area investigated and properly diagnosed. Through one-on-one contact, the Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator has been trained to work with patients to help them solve problems and overcome barriers that might keep them from getting the care they need. A few things the Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator may do include:

• Helping patients keep track of and get to appointments.
• Helping patients facilitate and streamline communication with their physicians.
• Helping patients complete insurance paperwork in a timely manner.
• Providing financial help for patients without insurance.
• Connecting patients with community resources, support and healthcare education.
