Randolph Cancer Center is pleased to provide Randolph County with a comprehensive Breast Outreach & Navigation Program that will educate and help assist individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through their diagnostic and treatment processes. Randolph Cancer Center is able to provide this program because of a generous grant given by the Avon Foundation. Learn about our breast cancer support groups.
The outreach side of the program seeks to educate all women in Randolph County about breast health, while placing a heavy emphasis on minority women, specifically Hispanic and African-American, who are 30 years and older and are uninsured or underinsured. In order to educate, the Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator provides educational materials about routine breast exams, traditional mammograms and overall breast health to places like Randolph County Health Department, the Merce Clinic and physician’s offices, as well as at speaking engagements throughout Randolph County.
If a suspicious finding is discovered, the Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator helps patients from the time of their cancer diagnosis until treatment is completed. The Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator helps individuals anticipate any barriers whether they are financial, physical or emotional and assists them in overcoming those challenges.
It doesn’t matter if a patient has had a recent diagnosis or is already seeking medical treatment; the Breast Outreach & Navigation Coordinator is available to assist any and all patients battling breast cancer.
