Physician Testimonials

Marcus Gentry, DO

When I completed residency, I had worked at over 11 institutions around Chicago. This allowed me to observe the nursing patterns, staff interaction and administration in a very useful way. It understood that the hospital I chose to work in would profoundly affect the way I felt about my practice of medicine.

I chose Randolph Hospital because of the special mix of benefits here. I wanted to avoid the bureaucracy of the large city hospital and yet I wanted the variety of support staff at these institutions. Randolph strives to meet that perfect blend. I saw various interactions between staff and nursing in my training, and I can say without reservation that the nursing staff here is second to none. Staff and nurses are often involved in the community from teaching children basketball to producing and starring in local plays. The community is a safe place to raise my children.

Outside of work, there are plenty of activities to do. The mountains and the beach are each 3 hours away. The Uwharrie national forest is right in our backyard for those who like to camp, fish or hike. The largest zoo in North Carolina is even here in town. Come meet the staff at Randolph Hospital and I guarantee that you’ll want to stay.

Robert Wilson, MD (August 2009)

Randolph hospital has a great group of health care professionals, who work closely with administration, to create a caring and patient-oriented health care environment. The hospital takes special interest to keep professionals up to date, making the health care management very progressive and current. The community is very friendly and welcoming to new members, as well as very family-oriented and safe. Being only 25 minutes from downtown Greensboro, it allows easy access to a wide variety of shopping and dining, but being able to keep its small town identity. The physicians at Randolph Hospital are very easy to work with, always putting patients first. The group, as a whole, is very up to date on the latest evidence-based medicine which allows for great patient care.

Rajan Mitchell, DO (August 2009)

I chose Randolph Hospital for its sense of community involvement and responsibility. What I like most about the community is the friendly warmth that has welcomed me and my family upon settling into our new home. Working with my colleagues has been professionally pleasant.
