
This nationally recognized award honors clinical excellence in both
quality of care and operational efficiency, differentiating its winners
as industry leaders that deliver outstanding patient care, while reducing
the cost of healthcare by giving patients the appropriate care at
the time it is needed.
Nearly 400 hospitals of varying sizes from across the country were eligible for the award and only 32 received the official honor of being a Premier Award for Quality winner in 2005. Out of the 32 winners, only two were from North Carolina.
