Cardiac Services

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation is an outpatient program emphasizing exercise and lifestyle modification for people who are at high risk for heart disease and for those recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery or who have angina or other cardiovascular problems or diseases.

The team, composed of physicians, nurses, a dietitian, mental health professional, exercise specialist and vocational rehabilitation specialist, is trained in cardiac rehabilitation. This team works together to develop an individualized treatment plan for every patient.

A therapeutic plan for each participant is implemented throughout the various phases of the rehab program. This plan includes dietary, psychological and vocational counseling and education in conjunction with an exercise program.
