In-Home Aide Program

There is no place like home, however, for many people facing a serious illness, living at home can be a challenge. Randolph Hospital can help you and your loved ones by providing private In-Home Aide Services.

Our certified nursing assistants provide personal care to patients in the home under the supervision of a registered nurse. The nurse will visit prior to the in-home aide's assignment to assess the needs of the patient and the home environment. The nurse, client and caregiver develop a plan of care of what the in-home aide is needed and expected to do. A registered nurse regularly follows up with the patient and makes home visits to ensure satisfaction with service.

Services delivered by in-home aides include:

  • Bathing, personal hygiene and grooming
  • Meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry
  • Assistance with prescribed therapy and exercise programs
  • Obtaining and recording patients vital signs and reporting any deviations
  • Reminding client to take medication as ordered
  • Notifying manager and/or family of any observed problems
  • Transportation for essential errands and medical appointments
