When you need help, you need it “right now.” That's why the Randolph Hospital Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, with in-house physicians and specialists trained in emergency medicine. Serving nearly 40,000 patients each year, Randolph Hospital's Emergency Department offers:

• Highly skilled emergency medicine staff, supported by experts in other specialties.
• A patient-flow process in which patients usually go directly from initial assessment to examination rooms.
• Separate entrances for ambulatory patients and walk-ins, allowing us to streamline ambulance arrivals directly to treatment areas and walk-ins to the triage area.
• Asheboro Emergency Physicians provides 24 hour medical coverage in the Emergency Department.
• Rooms equipped for specific needs that focus on pediatrics, gynecology, psychology, orthopaedics and ear, nose and throat treatment.
• A dedicated CT scanner, available for emergency cases 24 hours a day, so that urgent diagnostic studies can be performed at a moments notice.
